Electric Coffee Makers - Choosing the Right One

There are many electric coffee makers to choose from, but some have better qualities than others. Gevalia Coffee always offers a free electric coffee maker with a subscription to their coffee delivery service. This coffee maker includes a programmable 'Auto On' button so that you can prepare the water and the grinds the night before and have your coffee freshly brewed in the morning as you get ready for work. This electric coffee maker also has a vent at the top for the steam, and this sends out the delicious aroma of your coffee. It will brew up to 12 cups.

The DeLonghi DC514T is a 14 cup programmable electric coffee maker that comes with an aroma button, cord storage, and a pause and serve function. The water is released in 30-second intervals over the coffee grounds to ensure maximum flavor and aroma. This pricey machine not only removes chlorine from water, it also lets you know when it is time for it to be cleaned.

The Mr. Coffee FTTX95 is a 10 cup programmable coffee maker that comes with a stainless steel carafe that would look very attractive in any modern kitchen. Like the aforementioned electric coffee makers, this one also allows one to program a brew 24 hours in advance so one can wake up to a fresh cup of coffee without having to get out of bed early. This machine also has the pause and serve function so that you don't have to wait for until the carafe is filled before enjoying your first cup.

For people who like to take their own coffee makers to work, there are smaller options. Depending on the setup you have in your office or classroom, and your access to a sink and running water, some options are better than others. For example, there is the Black & Decker DCM18S Brew 'n Go Personal Coffeemaker with Travel Mug. The travel mug can take the place of a mug and ensures that you will not spill any coffee on your freshly-pressed shirt. It will brew 15 ounces of coffee and comes with a personal coffee filter that can be easily cleaned by throwing the grinds out right away, though you may want to rinse out any that remain. The machine shuts off automatically and the travel mug is dishwasher safe. Like with most one-cup coffee makers, it will not keep your coffee warmed if you cannot drink it right away. Another benefit to having a machine like this at work is that if you do not have access to a microwave, you can use it to heat up water for instant meals such as oatmeal or soup.

What coffee do you like to make?

The day to day for most office workers means getting up and getting a cup of coffee before heading in to the office. Either they make the coffee at home or pick one up at the local Starbucks before getting in the office. You always hear of the coffee addiction, and that is why so many people would not be able to take their caffeine rush away in the mornings. For most their will be two types of coffee, which include buying bulk ground coffee or making instant coffee.

As quickly as you can boil some water, you can make the instant coffee type. Boil some water, add the instant coffee in the cup and stir and you have your coffee ready. Great for people who want to make their coffee at home since it is cheaper, but do not have as much time to make the ground coffee. Nescafe is one of the more popular brands that makes Instant coffee. True coffee lovers may argue that the instant type of coffee is not a true taste of coffee, and they may be more likely to go to the other type of coffee brand.

The other type is where people will buy what they believe is the best ground coffee and make it on their own with a coffee maker. Compared to instant coffee, ground coffee is said to have a more flavorful taste to it. This judgement call is all a personal opinion amongst different people. As ground coffee does take longer to make, and gets brewed over a longer period, it would be common to think that it would keep more flavour. Those who believe ground coffee produces the better taste will rightfully wait for the extra time it takes to brew their cup of coffee.

Whether you like the instant coffee or ground coffee, you are all a part of the addiction that most of today's world has to coffee. Many will proclaim how they can't function if they don't have their coffee every morning. You coffee addicts may want to visit Speaking of Coffee for more information.

The Electric Coffee Grinder: Grind Fresh Coffee

There are many cases where people would like to be able to enjoy a cup of coffee that is made from freshly ground coffee. Most grocery stores give you the opportunity to buy whole coffee beans, which can save you some money. Unfortunately, the electric coffee grinder in the store isn't always the cleanest and can be riddled with tons of germs, which of course you don't want to have in your coffee. What other option do you have, though? You can buy an electric coffee grinder for your home.

When you are browsing all of the choices that you have for an electric coffee grinder, there are quite a few things that you need to keep in mind.

First, you need to think about how often you will be using the coffee grinder. This will have a huge impact in the type of electric coffee grinder that you decide to buy. If you are going to be using your coffee grinder on a regular basis, you will need an electric coffee grinder that has stainless steel chopping blades and a more sturdy construction. If, however, you will only be using the coffee grinder every once in a blue moon, you will not have to be nearly as picky.

Another consideration when choosing an electric coffee grinder is the size that you will need. Will you be grinding large amounts of coffee for visitors or multiple drinkers? Will you be grinding small amounts for a lone cup of coffee every once in awhile? If you plan to grind larger volumes of coffee, you will need a larger capacity grinder. For smaller amounts, a smaller electric grinder will work just fine.

You also need to consider the price range of an electric coffee grinder. There are a lot of factors that will influence the cost of an electric coffee grinder. The size is a major factor in determining the cost of an electric grinder. Another influencing factor of the price is the materials that the electric coffee grinder is made of. Finally, the brand also plays a large part in how much you will pay for a coffee grinder.

The final thing that you should keep in mind when you are shopping for an electric coffee grinder is the extras. Accessories can be the final factor that influences which coffee grinder that you buy. Can you take it apart for easy cleaning? Does it have interchangeable blades for different types of grinding? Does the electric coffee grinder actually grind or does it crush then grind? These are some of the things that you should think about.
